βLife is short. You might as well live it with really great hair.β

What is one hair product you cannot live without?
I would have to say mine would be dry shampoo! I’m very simple with my hair and don’t use many other products, but my hair does get oily very quickly! I use dry shampoo more than I would like to admit.
There are only two things I don’t love about dry shampoo… the price and the ingredients! I hate paying the high prices for dry shampoo because I can literally go through a decent-sized can of dry shampoo in a week. Also, the ingredients in most beauty & hair care products are not good for our skin. So I decided… why not make my own!? And I did. I love this recipe. It is very simple with only 3 ingredients, it smells good, and it makes my hair look wonderful.Β AND it’s much cheaper & natural! Win-win for me.Β

This recipe makes a dry shampoo powder. You can make the dry shampoo, put it in a jar (this is what I do) and use a makeup brush to put it on your hair. Another good idea that I have seen people do is to use an old spice container and pour it onto your hair that way. Whichever method you prefer is fine, either way, the product works the same. This dry shampoo recipe works for both light and dark hair!
I will add links to the products I use to make it easier for you!
Ingredients:
- 4 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon tumeric (for darker hair use 1 teaspoon tumeric)
- A few drops of the essential oil of your choice (I use lavender)
Directions:
- Mix all ingredients together
- Put in a small jar or spice bottle
- Use as needed

Too many people donβt know that scalp therapy shampoos for fast hair growth (of course with no sulfates, no parabens or DEA) are a thing. Folks now may experience longer hair and possess more alternatives. Definitely worth reading.
Whether you’re discussing hair loss, hair damage, avoiding skin disorders, hair growth, hair and scalp health generally, the same principles become relevant.
In most cases, you have to stay away from hair treatments and products that include chemicals such as parabens, DEA and sulfates.
What is healthy for your hair is good for your skin all the same.
For obvious reasons the content here is so accurate for many reasons. It stays away from the common mistakes and mistakes most fall into- using bad alternatives. Keep up the great content!
This sounds amazing!! My hair is always either black or super dark brown so getting a dry shampoo that blends in is hard!
The struggle! Luckily with my blonde hair, most blend well. This one does good. I hope it works for you!
I, like you, use a lot of dry shampoo even though I hate the way it makes my hair feel. I’ve found a brand I can tolerate. But like you said, not good for you. I didn’t even think about the fact that there is probably a homemade version out there! Great idea.
If you try this homemade version, I hope you like it!
