It’s getting close to the time of year where we look around and remember all we have to be thankful for! Although we have many things to be thankful for throughout the year, many of us tend to overlook it until the holidays. One of the things I am most thankful for in my life are the people in it that make me happy!
I am surrounded by some wonderful family, friends, coworkers, and more! Sometimes I forget to show my love and gratitude towards those in my life that are deserving of it.
I am not the type of person to go all out or make a big deal about something. I’d rather show people I love them in a simple, thoughtful, and caring manner. That’s why I have put together this list of simple ways to show you’re thankful. Even the small things can make someone feel loved and can show that you are thankful for them in a big way!
Check out this list for some ways to show you’re thankful for someone you care about.
10 Ways To Show Someone You’re Thankful For Them
- The most simple way to show someone you are thankful for them is to send a card. I love sending handwritten cards to people. It makes me smile knowing they are receiving something written from the heart.
- Another easy and well-known way to show someone you care is to send them flowers. The few times in my life that I have received flowers from someone it was so heartwarming! It’s also fun to get a surprise from someone you love!
- Leave a small note for your significant other where they will see it. I honestly haven’t done this in a while! It can make your significant other’s day and make them feel loved and appreciated, simply by leaving a small note letting them know how much you are thankful for them and all they do! It’s a small and simple gesture, yet it can mean so much to them.
- Make something special! Do you love being crafty? Great, put your skills to work and make something special to show someone that you are thankful for them.
- One of my favorite ways to show I am thankful for someone is to hug them! I am definitely a hugger. Sometimes, a hug can solve many problems. Giving someone a big hug can show them how much you love, care, and are thankful for them.
- Who doesn’t love a gift that made you think about them? That’s my favorite way to buy people gifts! When I am shopping, I love to get something that made me think of the person I am shopping for. A gift can make someone feel special and show them you are thankful for them.
- Send them a text when you’re thinking of them. Do you randomly think about people sometimes? I know I do! You can always send someone a text message to let them know you are thinking about them and that you are thankful for them. This will surely put a smile on their face!
- Take them a cup of coffee or dessert. When my friends or family buy me a cup of coffee, it always makes my day! It’s even better if they bring it to me at work. Do this for someone that you love! Show them how thankful you are for them by getting them their favorite cup of coffee or their favorite dessert.
- Offer to do something or to help them with something. Don’t you love it when people help you? You can show someone you are thankful for them by helping them with something around the house or anything else they may need help with! A simple gesture like this can go a long way.
- Simply tell them. Have you ever looked at someone and realized how thankful you are that they are in your life? If so, you should tell them in that moment! Simply letting someone know how thankful you are by telling them in the moment is perfect!
