Journals are great gifts for anyone, but especially for a book lover! 

I love journals. While I am reading, I love to take notes or write down quotes from a book that I am reading. I also really love journals in general. 

Making lists and writing down my thoughts and ideas is something that I love to do.

A love for journals pairs well with a love for books. 

A journal can be a simple gift that makes a book lover VERY happy!

A Reading Journal

A reading journal is a fun gift because it’s a place for book lovers to keep track of all the books they want to read, review the books, keep a reading log, and so much more!

A book lover always has a list of books they want to read. With a reading journal, they can have a cute place to keep track of these books! 

Pens, Markers, or Highlighters

You can never go wrong with pretty pens, markers, or highlighters. No matter how many pens, markers, and highlighters I have, I will always be excited when I get new ones!

These are perfect to use with a new journal, and highlighters are also great to use while reading.

Many of my favorite quotes are highlighted in a book on my bookshelf.

A Tote Bag

A book-themed tote bag is the perfect gift for a book lover!

A tote bag is a good way to carry your books, journal, and other things with you.

I love to throw things in a tote bag to run to a coffee shop and spend some time reading and enjoying myself.

A Cute Bookmark

One of my favorite gifts that I’ve received from my husband was a bookmark. It has a sweet saying on it, and I use it every time I start a new book. It’s nice to open up a book and be reminded of the person who gave you the bookmark. 

A wooden bookmark or leather bookmark is a great idea because it lasts forever and is very beautiful. 

Magnetic bookmarks are very useful! They are small and clasp around the top of a page. 

A bookmark is a small but sweet gift for someone who is a book lover!

A Book By Their Favorite Author

An avid reader usually has a favorite author, and probably has a few different ones!

If you know your book lover’s favorite author, add to their book collection and buy them a new book. It could be a book that was just released or one that you know they don’t have.

I always get excited to get a new James Patterson book!

A Reading/Book Light

A reading light is very neat because you can clip it to a book, and it allows you to still read in the dark!

It’s perfect to use at night, when your significant other is asleep, on an airplane when it gets dark, in the car when you are riding at night, and in many other places.

A rechargeable book light like this one is the best option because you don’t have to replace the batteries!

One that goes around your neck like this one is also a really cool idea. It can be used for way more than reading books.

A Book Stand

A book stand is very convenient when you want to read hands-free.

You can use it at your desk, table, or even in bed! A book stand can also be used in the kitchen when using a cookbook.

It’s a wonderful gift idea for a book lover (and maybe others on your Christmas list, too)!

Book Stand Page HOlder

These are so cool! A book page holder is high on my own wish list for this year. The first time I saw one of these, I thought about how brilliant the idea is!

It’s like a bookmark, but sometimes when I am actively reading, I lay my book down like this on the table.

It doesn’t always keep my place. Have a book stand place holder would be perfect when someone who is reading needs to take a quick break. It ‘s a unique book holder idea! 

Cozy Socks

Cozy socks are necessary for the reading experience. I love to snuggle up at home with my blanket, cozy socks, dog, and a good book! 

These socks will let everyone know to “shhhhh” because there is some serious reading being done! These socks are a cute, fun gift for a book lover in your life. 

A Coffee Cup or Travel Mug

A book-themed coffee cup or travel mug is perfect for your book-loving friend. They probably also love coffee or something hot in their cup. 

Put a smile on their face every time they pick up their cup and read a new book. 

This cup is so cool and unique that I may have to get it for myself!

A Gift Card To Their Favorite Cafe

My love of coffee just about matches my love of books. 

What book lover do you know that doesn’t also love a good cup of coffee? 

A gift card to their favorite café will make their day! Now, they will have an excuse to go and enjoy their favorite coffee shop.

 I enjoy getting a cup of coffee, sitting and reading, or working on my computer. You can never go wrong with coffee!

Buying new books is something a book lover always looks forward to.

I love to walk around bookstores taking in all the new books and making a list of books I’d like to buy someday. 

Many times, I don’t buy as many new books as I would like to.

A gift card will allow your book-loving friend to visit a local bookstore (or shop online) to get some new books from their list! 

A Kindle

If you want a big gift for your favorite book lover, a Kindle is a great idea! 

A Kindle allows someone to have all the books they want on one device. A Kindle can easily be carried anywhere- on vacation, in the car, on a plane, in your purse, and more!

The latest version of The Kindle Paperwhite is a great option because it has a glare-free screen and is waterproof. It will feel like you are reading straight from a piece of paper while having the convenience of an electronic book.

Do you know someone who loves to read, but doesn’t get the chance to do it often? An audible subscription might be perfect for them! 

They can listen to their favorite books and favorite authors while working, driving, or doing chores around the house. 

Unfortunately, we can’t always read physical books, so having someone read a book to us is the next best thing.

Get them into a book club or pay the book club fee for them if there is one.  

Books clubs are great for book lovers to be a part of. They can gather with other people who love books, read, and talk about the books they’ve read. They can be introduced to new authors, genres, and friends.
