If you haven’t realized by now, mystery series are my favorite books to read and share. Today, I am back with another fun, exciting, and mysterious series to share with you. It’s the Sookie Stackhouse series and is full of Southern vampire mysteries, romance, and wit.
You are sure to love it.
I ran across a few of #1 New York Times Best-Selling Author Charlaine Harris’ books at a yard sale a few years ago (the best way to get new books to try for the best price, besides the library). I only picked up the first three books at the yard sale, but I really enjoyed reading them.
Life got in the way, and I never finished the series (since I didn’t have all the books to start with).
I have a lot of books, and sometimes I can forget about a golden gem, or two when I have one! When I moved a few years ago, I was reminded of this series as I put the books on my new bookshelf.
I ordered the rest of the books in the series, and I’m so glad I did. I reread the first three books I had before finishing with the new ones. It was fun to read the series in full.
There are thirteen books and some short stories to accompany the novels.

Below I am going to share the whole Sookie Stackhouse series in order including short stories and other books written after the original thirteen books concluded.
It can be confusing sometimes to know what order to read books in a series so that it all flows together. I am here to help!
Several of Charlaine Harris’ books have been turned into movies or TV series. The supernatural beings of this amazing book series have been turned into the True Blood TV series. Do I have any True Blood fans here?
If you are a True Blood fan, you will love to read the series.

One of my favorite stories in the series is the Sookie Stackhouse Companion book.
It’s a novella that you do not want to miss out on.
It also includes an interview with Alan Ball, the creator of True Blood. It’s an exciting read!

If you are a True Blood fan, you should check out the series as well. It’s always fun to read the books even if you’ve seen the movie or show. The books usually have details that the movies and shows don’t get into.
If you haven’t seen the show, it’s worth the watch!

She has also written the Aurora Teagarden mysteries which is a series of movies on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries – my daughter and I love it! The first book in that series is Real Murders.
Thank you for letting me know! I will have to check these out 🙂
