Do you try to keep things simple? I know I do! The thought of lavish spa days and taking hours to care for myself overwhelm me. I enjoy keeping all aspects of my life as simple as possible! It helps to keep my stress levels low and enjoy life more.
Although I wouldn’t mind going to a spa (heart eyes), it’s not something I could do all the time! I enjoy looking for small things I can do daily, weekly, and simply when I think about it. I want to indulge myself in self-care in simple ways! Below are some ideas that will jive well with your simple lifestyle! They are easy, simple, and relaxing.

Self-Care Ideas:
- Take a bubble bath with a wonderful smelling candle lit.
- Paint your nails
- Spend time reading one of your favorite books
- Have a cup of your favorite tea
- Try a new type of herbal tea blend
- Bake your favorite pie or other dessert
- Do your hair/and or make-up one morning, even if you have nowhere to go!
- Eat a healthy breakfast
- Go for a walk on a beautiful day
- Spend some time outside getting some much needed fresh air!
- Spend time in your garden (Veggie, herb, or flower!)
- Buy a small plant to keep in the house
- Daydream about somewhere you want to travel
- Listen to motivational music
- Make a list of affirmations to say to yourself
- Grab a cup of coffee or make my favorite at home
- Work on your favorite hobby
- Find a podcast to listen to
- Listen to your favorite music/song on repeat
- Create a playlist with your favorite songs
- Create a playlist with upbeat and positive music
- Say ‘no’ to something you truly don’t want to do
- Listen to a TED talk
- Look for positive things throughout your day and write them down.
- Make a list of bad habits you want to stop and why your life would be better of without them
- Do a mental cleanse
- Treat your face to a pampering session- face mask!
- Make a healthy smoothie
- Start a gratitude journal. It’s always nice to remind yourself what you have to be thankful for.
- Sit on the porch with a cup of coffee
- Sit on the porch and watch the rain
- Watch Netflix (heart eyes)
- Go to your favorite bookstore
- Cook breakfast
- If you love to sing, sing!!
- Put lavender essential oil in your diffuser and relax
- Find a quiet space in your home to sit, think, read a book, drink a cup of coffee. Whatever you want to do! Just make sure it’s quiet so you can clear your mind.
- Do a brain dump to clear your mind.
- Pick some flowers from your garden to make a fresh bouquet in your home.
- Take a nice hot shower. Put a eucalyptus tablet in the bottom so the hot water releases the amazing scent! You will feel relaxed and refreshed when you get out.
- Sleep in one morning, with no alarm set!
- Write down encouraging sentences and place them around your home so that you will see them everyday.
- Cook your favorite meal for dinner
- Have a movie night with your spouse or best friend.
- Listen to an audiobook while doing things around the house.
- Spend time outdoors, stargazing or enjoy the bright moon one evening.
- Practice breathing when you feel stressed out
- Spend a full day without getting on social media.
- Snuggle your sweet pet (Insert heart emoji <3)
- Learn more about yourself. What makes you happy, sad, excited. Learn your enneagram number and take some time to read about it. Learn what makes you tick and find more ways to love yourself better.

It is very important! I try to take time for myself as often as I can.
I love painting my nails and watching Netflix. I don’t think I could go a whole day without social media, though.
A whole day without social media is a tough one… It definitely helps to clear your mind though.
I love to do a lot of these ideas including cutting flowers from the yard and enjoying inside.
Yes! That is wonderful. My husband and I are beginning to grow a lot more flowers. Hopefully I can start doing this next year π

Yes it is! I wrote a whole post about saying no to things that don’t serve you or make you happy. It is draining always being a ‘yes man’
