Are you looking for more natural cleaners to use around your home? Regular cleaners, even dusting spray, are filled with harmful chemicals that are not good for our children, pets, or families.
This recipe is amazing because it is non-toxic and safe for your home and those you love.
You will know all the natural ingredients that are in your product because you are the one making it. It’s perfect for wood surfaces, wood furniture, and anywhere that traps dust and dander.
This is probably my favorite recipe from all my natural products. It is super easy and very convenient to make. Have you seen the prices of furniture polish or dusting spray at the store? They’re expensive (at least to me they are).
Making your own dusting spray is a win-win because you will save money and have a natural dusting spray!
This DIY dusting spray works very well. I think it works just as good, if not better, than store-bought dusting spray! It leaves your furniture with a beautiful shine and smells great (without the smell of vinegar).
My favorite part is that you should be able to make this recipe with ingredients that you already have at home.

Why SHould I Make Homemade Cleaners?
Homemade cleaners are safer to use in your home. They are made with natural ingredients instead of harsh chemicals and they still get the job done.
Homemade cleaners can also save you money. You probably have many of the ingredients needed in your home already!
How Do I Store My Homemade Dusting Spray?
Storing your homemade dusting spray is easy! Using glass bottles is the best option.
I prefer to use dark-colored bottles like amber or cobalt because they help protect the homemade mixture since it has essential oils in it.
You will want to store your product in a dark space (I put mine in a cabinet in the laundry room) to keep it out of direct sunlight.
What is the Most Effective Way to Use This Product?
The most effective way to use this product is to give it a good shake (to mix the ingredients), spray it on the surface you want to clean, and use a dry cloth to wipe.
It will leave your surfaces and furniture dust-free!
Is It Safe to Use on Any Surface?
The best thing about this homemade dusting spray recipe is that the ingredients are safe. You can use this on any surface that you want to dust.
It’s perfect to leave wooden furniture shiny and will trap dust to keep your home clean and dust-free.

- 1 Cup Distilled Water- You can use tap water, but it has a lot of contaminants that I try to keep out of my cleaners.
- 1/4 Cup Vinegar (Cleaning Vinegar or Distilled White Vinegar)
- 2 Tablespoons of Olive Oil (Jojoba Oil or other types will also work)
- 15-20 drops of lemon essential oil (or an oil of your choice)- This is an optional ingredient, but only if you don’t mind the vinegar smell.
Tools you will need:
There are several tools you will need to make and use your own homemade dusting spray.

Instructions:
First, prepare your bottle by cleaning it well and letting it dry. Put the funnel in the top of the bottle to help pour the ingredients easily without making a mess.
Next, combine all the ingredients- the cup of water, vinegar, olive oil, and the essential oil into the spray bottle. If you want a stronger scent, just add a few more drops of the essential oil.
Lastly, once all the ingredients are combined make sure to shake well to combine them.
Be sure to shake well prior to using this dusting spray to mix the ingredients. Now, you can grab your cleaning rag and get to work!
I love to add labels to my homemade cleaning products to help keep track of them.
